Hi Everyone! My name is Lemon. I was rescued from a puppy mill. The miller at the puppy mill did not know the basic rules of breeding pups. He put together two Merle dogs. The veterinarian who first examined me said that I have abnormally shaped pupils. The CSAC vet thinks I can see shadows, but they think I cannot hear. That is hard to test. Despite my limited vision and hearing, I am energetic and love to play. I am calmer and shier than my sister Poppy. The best home for me has people who have dog, puppy and special needs experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet.

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen.
