MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION:
Hello, my name is April. My owner had to go into hospice and his family did not want to take care of me so they brought me to a vet to be euthanized. The kind vet refused and had the family surrender me to them. They asked CSAC to help find me a new home. Right now, I am in the caring hands of the guardian angel Vet that works with the CSAC. I did have some bladder stones removed so I am on medication and a special diet to prevent that from happening again. I do have some arthritis in my front leg, but nothing that slows me down. I like other dogs and seem to be house trained. I need a new family that appreciates a senior pet who needs slow walks and a warm lap to sleep in. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon.

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen.
